So, we concepts and classes that consider the physical world and the more subtle side of life. I feel that if we only pay attention to one of these, we‘ll be less likely to be fulfilled, vibrant and happy.
If we spend too much time dwelling in the mind, with emotions, continuous thoughts and even spiritual practices, we can easily lose track of and neglect the body. Yet if we are overly body-centred, then we might miss the bigger picture of life, never discover inner peace or get to fully experience our connection to nature.
With the 6th chakra we now land at the third eye
We have had previous clusters dedicated to the eyes but we have a shift of focus here. We are not concerned so much for the eye as an organ of sight , rather to become open to inner seeing and intuition.
Then, without distraction from what the eyes and mind filter, we get to up our radar to notice what’s really true and we can better visualise our path.
What does an out of balance third eye look like?
Like a joint in the body, out of balance can mean too much or too little activity. If you have too much attention with the third eye then you might spend so much time visualising that nothing actually gets done! You’ll be more likely to hang out in the head centre (with thoughts) and be prone to over analysing/thinking. Attachment to ego can be also strong which can take you away from the natural self and make empathy more tricky.
Getting confused can be a regular occurrence
However, this isn’t necessary a bad thing. Confusion is a step on the path where you have all the details you need, it’s just they’re a bit jumbled. If you can take a moment to pause, relax and trust the bigger picture then those pieces should fall into place and your direction/decisions becomes clear.
One simple practice to help with any imbalances is to take a little time each day to get quiet and listen... a simple practice of being aware of body and mind and to be calm with what you notice. There are many terms for this:
However, for many, when they first practice ‘stillness’, the exact opposite happens. They notice a very busy mind and an uncomfortable body. Yes this is quite normal and most would quit right there and get busy again. But, I think this is an indication that you need more quiet moments in your life.
And guidance can really help which is why I added meditation classes and mindfulness experiences to the Dojiva membership site (which was originally only exercise). If you persevere with moments of being still, your mind will eventually let go and settle… then clarity ensues.
From this place, you are less likely to stay in the rat race and more likely to make positive steps on this ever evolving journey to feel:
present and alive in a healthy body
When balanced at the third eye…
you have the awareness to be at the start of a planned something such as a large, well organised event. But this also includes the noticing of more subtle messages and hidden opportunities. Said another way, you’ll be less likely to miss the important beginning of an idea, a project or even a new way of seeing the world.
So, here’s a week to tap into your inner wisdom, to be open to fresh ideas and new paths and to see between the lines to reveal anything previously hidden.
Bonus - from this perspective, other people, organisations or clever marketing won’t be able to pull the wool over your eyes.
You become the seer of truth, the one to initiate, the visionary… so don’t just sit back and watch the movie, this is about you becoming the projectionist!
Summary
The third eye is about seeing clearly and sensing directly and at Dojiva, we have many paths to help this… mindfulness practices, breath work, body awareness and hundreds of movement classes for balance, posture, flexibility and fitness. Together, these aim to reveal and heal imbalances.
This week’s classes have lots of sensing, relaxing, moving and some work with the eyes closed.
That’s it for this week, thanks for reading.
Take care
Danny

Here are this weeks recommended cluster of Dojiva classes:
Sunday 26th Oct 2025 - Relaxation Guided 11 - This practice lasts about 15 minutes and involves using imagery to enhance your relaxation. The music then continues for nearly an hour. Here’s a question - when are you most relaxed? I invite you to bring the feeling and image of this into this practice.
Bonus today - Pranayama 04 - Want to be more cool, calm and collected, then try out left nostril breathing.
Monday 27th - Mini fitness 86 - We have a break from high impact and speed work and instead focus on mat based exercises with alternating rounds of sit ups and planks.
Tuesday 28th - Mobility 107 - Today's class has lots of balance awareness, but from a functional and toning perspective. First up though, we sit and journey through the upper body to assess how flexible your joints are.
Wednesday 29th - Relaxation guided 12 - Please enjoy this one hour practice. We start with a 22 minute guided meditation and then enjoy the rest of the time with music only.
Thursday 30th - Workout 89 - Every exercise today involves moving with a three dimensional, circular and semi-circular flow! As full workouts go, this one isn’t the longest, yet we don’t rest much and manage 15 sets of strength training in 45 minutes.
Friday 31st - Mobility 103 - Today, we revisit the shoulder girdle and especially the ball and socket joints… for rehab, function and relaxation.
Saturday 1st - Workout 33 - We manage 16 sets in this strength class including lots of standing functional moves (with option to close eyes), front planks, regular planks, dynamic stretches and even some rollovers to shoulder stand!
